Eng. Salahaldeen Al Zoubi

Lab Supervisor

Eng.SalahAldeen Al Zoubi received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), Jordan, in 2020, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Jordan, in 2024. His master's thesis focused on application-specific optimization of Phase Disposition Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (PD-SPWM) multilevel inverters. He joined the Electrical Engineering Department at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in January 2026 as the Power Electronics and Electrical Machines Laboratory Instructor. Prior to his current appointment, he served as a Teaching Assistant at PSUT, where he supported undergraduate courses in Advanced Power Electronics, Renewable Energy Resources, and related laboratory activities.Eng. Al Zoubi has diversified industrial experience in power electronics, renewable energy systems, electrical design, and project coordination. He worked as a Projects Design Coordinator at Philadelphia Solar, where he was responsible for the technical design and coordination of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. Following this role, he served as a PV Systems Design Trainer for a U.S.-based company, delivering specialized technical training in photovoltaic system design and industry best practices. He also worked as an Electrical Design and Studies Engineer within the USAID Water Governance Activity, contributing to the design of electrical and electromechanical systems for water infrastructure projects. His research interests include power electronics, multilevel inverters, DC–DC converters, renewable energy systems, optimization algorithms, and the application of artificial intelligence techniques in electrical engineering. He is the first author of two peer-reviewed publications, including a Q1 journal article in Computers & Electrical Engineering and an IEEE conference paper presented at the 14th International Conference on Information and Communication Systems (ICICS).
