Dr. Fares El-Faouri
Assistant Professor
Fares S. El-Faorui (Member, IEEE) was born in Amman, Jordan, in 1993. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology), Tokyo, Japan, in 2024, and the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Amman, Jordan, in 2015 and 2017, respectively. He was the recipient of the third place Best Paper Award in IEEE Open Journal of Industry Applications in 2024.He is currently an Assistant Professor with Princess Sumaya University for Technology. His research interests include electric machine design and drive systems, with a particular emphasis on switched reluctance motors.
