Prof. Mohammad J. Abdel-Rahman

Mohammad Abdel-Rahman is a Professor in the Data Science Department at Princess Sumaya University for Technology and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Virginia Tech. His research focuses on integrating artificial intelligence with operations research to solve complex problems in various fields, including networking, communications, energy, healthcare, and transportation. He earned his Ph.D. in ECE from the University of Arizona in 2014, with a minor in operations research and mathematics, and received the College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Prof. Abdel-Rahman is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the Global Young Academy (GYA). He is currently an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (AI-Empowered Resource Management Track), IEEE Access, and Wireless Personal Communications (Springer Nature). He also actively participates in the technical program committees of major international conferences.
