In two ceremonies, held separately in observance of current health restrictions, and organized by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration’s Gifted Students Office, the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, honored the University’s students who won academic, cultural, arts and sports competitions at the national, regional and international levels, during the year 2021. In attendance were PSUT’s two vice presidents, deans of the Schools, and the deans of Admissions and Registration, and Student Affairs.
Al-Refai said that PSUT has made it a tradition to honor its outstanding students and winners in competitions at the end of each year, with the aim of motivating all its students towards greater achievement. He pointed out that the University, under the guidance of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of its Board of Trustees, has charted a unique path for itself based on providing a fertile environment for the growth, prosperity and excellence of its students in their academic and extracurricular activities.
Al-Refai indicated that the University, which focuses on technology, did not neglect cultural, arts and sports activities due to its belief in their importance in creating the all-round character of its students. He noted that the winners are the best ambassadors for their country and their university, in international and local forums.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Al-Saidi, stated that the Gifted Students Office is constantly seeking to provide support to outstanding students, take care of them, appreciate their achievements, and encourage them to participate in competitions and events that hone their talents and skills, and promote the University’s status.
