Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, opened the Fifth International Staff Week, organized by the University’s External Relations Unit as part of the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Union. The event brought together partners from Latvia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey, and Jordan.
During the opening ceremony, Prof. Abu Elhaija welcomed the guests and participants, stressing the importance of the week in strengthening cultural understanding and academic exchange between the University and its international partners. She also spoke about the key role of exchange programs in building the academic and cultural skills of both students and faculty.
Prof. Abu Elhaija gave an overview of the University, highlighting its academic programs, the success of its graduates, and its international accreditations, which reflect its strong local and global reputation.
Dr. Sufyan Al-Majali, Director of the External Relations Unit, spoke about PSUT’s most notable international partnerships. He stressed the unit’s efforts to build academic ties and expand global cooperation, which helps improve the University’s ranking and strengthen its international presence.
Participants praised the cooperation, which supports the exchange of educational and cultural experiences with PSUT, a university recognized globally for its excellence.
The week included one-on-one meetings with university staff, scientific lectures, and hands-on training workshops aimed at sharing expertise and building the academic and administrative skills of participants.
