The student club of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (IEEE PES PSUT) has attained the distinction of being the most active branch within region 8 (R8). This region comprises 44 branches under the IEEE PES umbrella, spanning across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
The club team was recognized for their year-long accomplishments and dedicated efforts. This acknowledgment came during the IEEE PES Day, which saw participation from IEEE PES student branches worldwide.
This recognition is a testament to the students' and Organizing Committee's dedication. Their shared objective was to enhance students' knowledge through well-organized sessions, informative talks, and diverse field trips, all aimed at keeping up with the latest technological advancements.
Prof. Fadi Shahrouri, the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at King Abdullah II School of Engineering and Club Supervisor, highlighted that the university's information technology environment aims to enhance students' proficiency in alignment with worldwide technological and informational progress.
