As part of efforts to strengthen partnerships between regulatory bodies and academic institutions, Audit Bureau President Dr. Radhi Al Hamadeen met with Princess Sumaya University for Technology President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija to discuss ways to implement the signed Memorandum of Understanding, expand cooperation in training, capacity building, and professional development, and improve the audit system through modern digital technologies.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al Hamadeen praised the university’s leading role in innovation and technological education. He also expressed appreciation from the Audit Bureau and the Licensing and Examinations Committee at the Higher Commission for the Certified Public Accountant Profession to the university for recently hosting the Jordanian Certified Public Accountant (JCPA) exam in its computer-based format for the first time. He said this step reflects national efforts to support digital transformation in training and qualifying professionals.
The meeting discussed providing specialized training for Audit Bureau staff in areas such as artificial intelligence in public sector auditing, advanced data analysis in key sectors, digital auditing, digital crime technologies, information security, and cybersecurity.
Both sides stressed the importance of joint training programs that keep pace with developments in digital auditing, along with practical visits to the Bureau’s offices and laboratories to link theory with practice. They also highlighted the need to give Princess Sumaya University for Technology students access to the Bureau’s expertise in public accounting, financial analysis, and audit software to enhance their skills and job prospects.
The meeting is part of efforts to implement the MoU between the two sides, which aims to build lasting cooperation in training, sharing expertise, technical consultations, and organizing specialized workshops and conferences, thereby enhancing institutional performance.
