Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, and Prof. Khalid Al-Bagain, President of Kuwait College of Science and Technology, signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen academic and research cooperation and promote the exchange of expertise in higher education and innovation. The agreement also covers student and faculty exchanges, as well as joint seminars and conferences.
Signed in the presence of the University’s Council of Deans and the Director of the External Relations Unit, the memorandum further supports collaboration in applied research projects, academic and technical consultations, and the exchange of knowledge in shared fields, reinforcing the role of both institutions in serving society and advancing sustainable development.
University President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija said that this cooperation reflects the university’s vision of strengthening international cooperation and expanding academic partnerships to benefit students and society. She added that the university is committed to providing a dynamic educational and research environment that meets modern needs.
Prof. Khalid Al-Bagain expressed his pride in this partnership with Princess Sumaya University for Technology, stressing that it will enrich the academic experience and strengthen the research capacities of both sides.
During the signing of the memorandum, the two sides confirmed their commitment to cooperation in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, especially in fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, data analysis, and communications. They noted that this step aims to advance higher education in the region and provide new opportunities for students and researchers through shared expertise and joint programs.
