A team from the Accounting Department at King Talal School of Business Technology at Princess Sumaya University for Technology won the first place in the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute- Research Challenge 2023 competition, which was organized by the CFA in Jordan with the participation of teams from Jordanian universities.
PSUT’s winning team has also qualified for the EMEA regional stage. The team will represent Jordan in the competition to be held in Dubai 17/3/2023 at the level of Arab countries.
The students of the winning team were Zain Al-Shraida, Jana Abu Namous, Sally Abu Lawi, Taleen Al-Rabadi and Qais Ahmed. The team was supervised by Prof. Mudar Abdel-Latif.
PSUT president Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, congratulated the winning team and their supervisor for the honorable results they achieved at the national level. The president pointed out that the team has qualified due to their competence and skills in financial analysis and investment. She wished them more achievement under the name of the university in advanced positions in various forums and competitions that develop the spirit of competitiveness and promote teamwork.
Dean of the King Talal School of Business Technology (KTSBT), Dr. George Sammour, praised the excellence of the students and professors of the KTSBT who constantly work hard and closely follow all developments in the business sector. Dr Sammour indicated that the school always includes latest business developments in its offered courses and practical training in order to enable students to present specialized entrepreneurial ideas in the labor market.
It is noteworthy that CFA is a global institute concerned with investment and financial analysis and issues the Chartered Financial Analyst certificate, which is one of the most important financial and investment certificates worldwide.
