The memorandum was signed by the President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor al-Refai, and the Association’s Chairman, Dr. Dureid Mahasneh.
Al-Refai emphasized PSUT’s keenness to cooperate with development institutions with an active presence, welcoming the support and development of technological solutions that serve citizens and facilitate their access to better service in the fields of energy and water, in fulfillment of the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University's Board of Trustees, in activating partnerships with local community institutions.
Al-Refai indicated that students will be encouraged to support and participate in the Association’s initiatives, and he urged them to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Association, noting the importance of harnessing modern technologies, artificial intelligence and data science to care for the environment and natural energy sources.
For his part, Mahasneh expressed his happiness at signing the MoU, praising the excellent reputation that PSUT has achieved locally and internationally. He stated that the cooperation will involve organizing seminars and lectures, proposing areas for research related to green energy, working on finding and developing innovative solutions to some of the current environmental problems, and developing the uses of water, air and renewable energy sources.
The Association is a Jordanian non-governmental and non-profit business organization founded in 2009, which devotes most of its efforts to investing in the environment through innovative solutions in the field of energy, water and environmental preservation. It seeks to achieve Jordan's goals in reaching a green economy by building strong and solid knowledge platforms and creating multiple dialogue forums for partners.
