Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, along with members of the University Deans Council and Prof. Waleed Salameh from King Hussein School of Computing Sciences, welcomed an academic delegation from Fudan University in China. The delegation was led by Dr. Zhimin Chen, Vice President for International Relations. The primary objective of the visit was to discuss academic and research cooperation between the two universities.
During the meeting, both parties expressed their mutual interest in exchanging experiences and agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding. This agreement will facilitate opportunities for joint research and teaching visits between the two universities, enabling students and faculty members to benefit from an exchange program in the fields of engineering and information technology.
During the meeting, Prof. Abu Elhaija provided an overview of the university's remarkable journey of excellence and its notable achievements in various academic and research fields, as well as extracurricular activities for university students. Prof. Abu Elhaija also emphasized the strong interest of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, the Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, to establish strong connections and partnerships with international universities, with the aim of harnessing their expertise in engineering and technology.
Dr. Zhimin Chen conveyed his utmost admiration for the university's approach and its rapid and distinguished development across all fields. He also emphasized that this meeting marks the beginning of a future cooperation between the two universities, as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
