Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) held discussions with an academic delegation from the Czech Republic to explore future collaboration in cybersecurity, data science, and artificial intelligence. The meeting was chaired by PSUT President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija during the delegation’s official visit to the university.
The visit took place on the sidelines of the Cybercrime Mitigation and Governance Forum 2025, held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) and Chair of PSUT’s Board of Trustees. The two-day forum was hosted at the RSS campus. The Czech delegation included representatives from Brno University of Technology—Mr. Martin Jírovec, Consultant to the Dean for Technology Development and Transfer—and from Masaryk University in Brno, represented by Mr. Václav Stupka, a specialist in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and IT law.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed prospects for cooperation in cybersecurity, data science, and AI, including joint research initiatives, development of academic curricula and specialized laboratories, as well as student and faculty exchange opportunities and the organization of joint scientific events. The discussions were attended by Prof. Anas Abu Taleb, Dean of King Hussein School of Computing Sciences, along with faculty members and experts from the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence as well as the Department of Cybersecurity.
Prof. Abu Elhaija reaffirmed the university’s commitment to expanding its global academic network, emphasizing that international partnerships are a strategic pillar for driving innovation and strengthening competencies—particularly amid rapid developments in cybersecurity and AI.
She also highlighted that, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, PSUT is dedicated to providing an advanced educational and research environment that aligns with global labor-market needs and contributes to graduating highly capable and competitive technology leaders at regional and international levels.
The Czech delegation expressed keen interest in establishing a strategic partnership with PSUT, praising the university’s academic excellence and research achievements, as well as its leading reputation in technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Delegates also shared insights into the Czech Republic’s experience in building an advanced cybersecurity ecosystem and regulatory framework to ensure a secure digital environment.
Both parties concluded the meeting by affirming their commitment to advancing work toward a long-term, sustainable strategic partnership that supports scientific development and broader societal progress.
