Princess Sumaya University for Technology team was crowned champion in the "Birth of the Leader” Basketball Championship as part of the Jordan’s celebrations of the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The university organized the championship in cooperation with ‘Wolves Academy’ with the wide participation of universities and local community institutions, and in the presence of the deans of student affairs of the participating universities.
The university team won the first place, the second place was won by the Central Military Region team, while the third place was won by the German Jordanian University.
The Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Rami Salem, emphasized that the university is keen to enhance students’ participation in national celebrations and extracurricular activities as these stimulate team spirit and competitiveness with students in various Jordanian universities.
Dr. Salem expressed his pride in the university students, who lead local and international forums with their honorable results in extracurricular activities, while preserving their academic career and their impressive results.
