Under the patronage of the Acting President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Prof. Dr. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, King Talal School of Business Technology (KTSBT) organized a workshop on developing the major of ‘Business Administration’ (Modern Concepts, Skills and Administrative Practices), as part of its strategic plan to develop the school’s majors and to keep pace with the technological development and the requirements of the labor market.

In his speech in the workshop, KTSBT Dean, Dr. George Sammour, confirmed that the school has obtained the international accreditation AACSB as a result of the distinguished quality of its programs at the local and global levels. He added that KTSBT follows the university’s approach to keep pace with the technological developments taking place in the world and the needs of the labor market. This comes within the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El- Hassan, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, who emphasizes the importance of leadership and innovation which provide the labor market with competent graduates who can help achieve sustainability and development.

The head of the Business Administration Department, Dr. Aseel Abu Ajamiyeh, pointed out that the department and the school are working hard to update their study programs and their strategic partnership through collaborating with all parties involved in these programs to introduce new ideas and proposals in the field of business administration.

A faculty member in the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Khleef Al-Khawaldeh, presented a paper on modern models of management and the role of skills and technology in improving and developing such models.

The CEO of MadfooatCom stressed the importance of equipping graduates with skills that help them keep pace with the needs of the rapidly developing labor market.

A university graduate Lamis Ma’aita confirmed that in addition to the theoretical part that graduates receive during their study period, they still need skills and practice and this is exactly what PSUT does.

The attendees valued the holding of such workshops which embody true partnership aimed at bridging the gap between university education and the needs of the labor market.
