PSUT and the International Women's Forum-Jordan (IWF) have signed a cooperation agreement, with the goal of strengthening their partnership. The agreement aims to foster the growth of aspiring women by jointly creating and executing programs that enhance their skills. This will be achieved through training initiatives and dedicated workshops. These efforts are aligned with the university's pioneering role and actively contribute to community service in collaboration with local community institutions.
The agreement was officially signed by Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, the President of PSUT, and Mrs. Rabab Mango, the president of IWF-Jordan. The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of Prof. Bassam Hammo, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Ms. Samar Nassar, the forum's vice president, Dr. George Sammour, the Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, Dr. Aseel Abu Ajimah, head of the Business Department, Dr. Rasha Al-Ghazzawi, head of the Accounting Department, and Mrs. Meena Dawaher from the International Relations Office.
Prof. Abu Elhaija emphasized that the deepened cooperation between the university and the International Women's Forum-Jordan underscores our unwavering commitment to empower women and amplify their vital role in shaping society as essential partners in Jordan's progress. Through training women in modern technology, we enable them to contribute to technological innovations and build successful careers in this field.
Prof. Abu Elhaija also confirmed that the university places special importance on “women's empowerment,” following the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees. Her Highness is dedicated to enhancing women's roles and empowering them across all fields, particularly in data science, innovation, and entrepreneurship, recognizing the significance of gender diversity as pivotal for future success.
Mrs. Mango, the president of IWF, emphasized the significance of this cooperation, as the forum's program, Qimam (Program for Skill Enhancement and Joint Learning), targets promising women across various sectors to prepare them for leadership roles. Through 11 specialized programs spanning technology, communications, information, judiciary, entrepreneurship, and sports sectors, the program has achieved commendable outcomes and success stories for female leaders at the national level.
Mrs. Mango highlighted that a key goal of the forum, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary, is to promote networking among its members who have demonstrated significant excellence in their field, both locally and internationally.
Mrs. Mango also conveyed her appreciation to the university's administration, led by its president, Prof. Abu Elhaija, and the exceptional academic and administrative team, expressing eagerness for further cooperation in the future.
