The President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, met with the Ambassador of Ireland, Marianne Bolger, during her visit to the university campus to discuss potential cooperation between PSUT and Irish universities in various technological fields.
Prof. Abu Elhaija highlighted the university’s achievements, including its advanced programs in computer science, engineering, and business technology. She emphasized that these accomplishments were made possible through the guidance and support of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, who seeks to build a generation equipped with the technical and technological skills to address modern challenges and contribute to sustainable development.
Ambassador Bolger praised the academic level and programs at PSUT. She expressed her interest in strengthening academic cooperation and facilitating the exchange of students and faculty between the university and Irish universities, particularly in information technology. She added that this cooperation would help develop technological and entrepreneurial skills while strengthening ties between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by the university’s Vice President, Prof. Bassam Hammo, several deans, the lead coordinator of Young Scientists program at the Irish Embassy, Engineer Manar Abdullah, and the Business & Outreach Officer at the Embassy of Ireland, Engineer Amer Khalayleh.
