President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, welcomed Gong Anmin, Minister Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting explored ways to enhance cooperation in artificial intelligence and other areas of computer science.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Prof. Bassam Hammo, Advisor to the President Prof. Abdul Ghafour Al-Saidi, members of the Council of Deans, and Director of International Relations Dr. Sufyan Al-Majali.
Prof. Abu Elhaija highlighted the university’s academic and research achievements, as well as extracurricular activities that help students build their skills. She reaffirmed the university’s commitment to international partnerships and to advancing innovation and business technology, in line with the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
Minister Counselor Gong Anmin praised the strong Jordanian-Chinese ties and emphasized the importance of academic and research exchange. He also commended the university’s high standards and its integration of technology across all disciplines.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the delegation attended a lecture on artificial intelligence, engaging in interactive discussions with students and faculty. They also reviewed student projects across various fields, including computer science, engineering, and business technology.
