PSUT and Amman Chamber of Commerce Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Enhance Training and Human Resources Development

Princess Sumaya University for Technology and the Amman Chamber of Commerce have signed a cooperation agreement in academic, scientific, research, and training fields. The agreement aims to meet labor market needs and improve the skills of workers in the commercial and service sectors.

Signed by University President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija and Chamber Director General Ghaleb Hijazi, the agreement includes cooperation in providing specialized consultations and implementing training programs inside and outside Jordan. It also involves joint efforts to promote these programs to benefit the targeted sectors.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation by implementing specialized training programs with the Consultation and Training Center. It includes sharing expertise in designing and evaluating training programs, conducting research, supporting networking with the commercial and service sectors, and organizing joint events. It also seeks opportunities for local and international projects.

Hijazi praised Princess Sumaya University for Technology’s strong academic reputation and the skills of its graduates in supporting the business environment. He said the agreement shows the Amman Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to partnering with universities to strengthen technical training and vocational skills.

Hijazi added that the Chamber’s Training Academy is a modern facility with advanced equipment and experienced trainers.

University President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija said the university focuses on applied technological education that combines theory with practical experience to prepare students for local and global job markets.

Prof. Abu Elhaija added that the cooperation reflects the university’s commitment to applied education by offering practical training and professional development to help students excel.

At the signing ceremony, Abu Elhaija gave an overview of the university’s main programs, graduate achievements, and international accreditations. The event was attended by Vice President Prof. Bassam Hammo, Advisor to the President Prof. Abdul Ghafour Saidi, several members of the Council of Deans, Deputy Director General of the Amman Chamber of Commerce Bashar Muqbil, and other Chamber representatives.
