Salem Suleiman Salah, a student at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, clinched the 2023 Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads Photo Contest award, organized by UNESCO. He was the only Jordanian photographer to make it to the final list, selected from 6,790 participants.
Salah, founder of the PSN Photography Club at the university, showcased his talent as his photo was chosen among 6,790 photos. He was the only Jordanian finalist, with the international jury selecting just 66 photos worldwide.
University President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija said this achievement highlights how a supportive environment for creativity at Princess Sumaya University for Technology can turn student talent into global success, bringing Jordan to the ranks of excellence. She emphasized that the university is not only an academic institution with world-class standards but also a hub for student creativity across various fields.
Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Rami Salem thanked the university administration for its continued support of students’ extracurricular participation in local and international contests. He also noted that Salem’s work captures Jordan’s cultural and historical beauty through architecture, antiquities, and urban planning.
