Princess Sumaya University for Technology and University of Sharjah Discuss Joint Cooperation

Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, has met with Prof. Hamid Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, accompanied by an academic delegation, during a visit to the university. In the presence of Prof. Arafat Awajan, Vice President of the Royal Scientific Society for Scientific Research, they discussed opportunities for collaboration in various academic and research areas.

Prof. Abu Elhaija highlighted the university's achievements, programs, and its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the job market.  Abu Elhaija also emphasized the university's dedication to international cooperation, sharing experiences, and following the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, to maintain its position as a prominent educational and research institution and to provide the local, regional, and international job markets with highly skilled graduates.

Prof. Al Naimiy provided an overview of the University of Sharjah's specializations and academic programs. He expressed pride in the excellence of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, noting similarities in their specializations, their process of attracting faculty and students, and their approach to distinguished scientific research.

Both universities agreed to enhance future cooperation by signing a joint academic and research cooperation agreement.

Attending the meeting from Princess Sumaya University for Technology were Vice President for Administrative Affairs Prof. Bassam Hammo, President’s Advisor for Student Success and Retention Dr. Abdul Ghafour Al-Saidi, and members of the University’s Council of Deans.
