PSUT takes first place in the national CFA Institute Research Challenge, qualifying to represent Jordan in the regional round in Switzerland

Princess Sumaya University for Technology has won first place in the national round of the CFA Institute Research Challenge which was contested by five Jordanian universities. The PSUT team will go forward to represent Jordan in Zurich, Switzerland, competing against teams from Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA).

The winning team comprised of Farah Al Dumeisi, Nour Alayan, Obaidah Mubarak, Saqr Dawood and Yousef Aql, all students at the King Talal School of Business Technology. The team worked under the supervision of Dr. Rasha Dayyat.

President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated the winning team and their supervisor on this new achievement. He expressed his pleasure and pride in this win which is a great honor for Jordanian university students and puts PSUT in the forefront. He praised the efforts of the students and their supervisor and their determination to perform well in national and international competitions that support their academic careers and hone their practical skills. These competitions provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their excellent capabilities and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork, as well as encouraging a noble competitive spirit between their peers in the various Jordanian universities. These are the objectives set forth by HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, as part of the plan to bring Jordan into the ranks of technologically advanced countries.

Prof. Al-Refai also thanked the faculty and administrative staff for their continuous supervision and follow-up of the students during the competition, while thanking the students for representing the University so successfully.
