PSUT student Hamza Al Rasheed takes two gold medals at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in -84 kg and open weight categories

Hamza Al-Rasheed, a student of Business Administration at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, received two gold medals at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which was held in Thailand and contested by more than 208 players, both male and female, representing 14 countries. Hamza Al-Rasheed took gold in the -84 kg and open weight competitions.

PSUT President, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, congratulated Hamza on this global achievement, which boosts the University’s fine image. He stated that PSUT and its students are remarkable, not only in the scientific and academic fields, but also in extracurricular activities. The University invests in these activities since they help students to develop their skills and abilities, a policy which fits the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, of lending support to young people in all aspects of life as part of the movement of change taking place in the world today.

It is worth noting that Hamza Al-Rasheed took the 2017 title of World Champion in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu.
