PSUT’s Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Jerusalem Committee, organized a demonstration of solidarity at the University under the title "Be for Jerusalem ... and be Angry". The aim of the demonstration was to denounce the desecration of Jerusalem’s religious symbolism, to protest against President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Israeli occupation and the resulting transfer of the US Embassy to Jerusalem. The demonstration, which was attended by Vice President Prof. Arafat Awajan, deans of the Schools, and PSUT faculty members and students, witnessed chants against the decision, in addition to those supporting the Palestinian people and rejecting the Judaization of Jerusalem. Those attending also affirmed their solidarity with Jerusalem, stating that it would continue to be an Arab city for both Muslims and Christians, stressing the Arabism of Jerusalem and the fact that it is and will remain the eternal capital of the Palestinian state.
