Acting on behalf of the President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, the Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, Dr. Abdul Rahim Abu Al-Basal, opened the virtual workshop that was held this Saturday morning under the title “Our role in preserving our economic resources in light of the Coronavirus pandemic”. The workshop is an annual event, implemented and upheld by the School.
The workshop, which was presented by microeconomics students from the Department of Business Administration, and attended by students and instructors of the School, included 45 working papers presented by 45 working teams of undergraduate students that contributed to the contents of the workshop, which highlighted their visions, ideas, plans and proposals.
Abu Al-Basal said that the aim of the workshop is to train students on how to relate theoretical aspects of study to their reality, and develop their own abilities to contribute to finding solutions to the problems they face, through the process of teaching intelligence, far from traditional education.
Abu Al-Basal added that the working papers prepared in the workshop present students' visions and perspectives on the dangers of the Coronavirus pandemic and its effects on society, and how they can contribute to finding solutions to those risks according to the available capabilities, taking into account the need to preserve available resources.
The workshop was attended by the Vice Dean of the School, Dr. Amr Madadha, the head of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Ahmed Al-Nsour, and guests from outside the University who have an interest in the topic of the workshop.
