Tuesday, May 7, 2019 - 13:30

The Deanship of Admissions and Registration has announced the launch of the PSUT Student Mobile App, making PSUT the first university to make urgent announcements online, in addition to offering students academic and financial services through this application, which is a new addition to the University's ICT services.

President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, activated the application, in the presence of Dr. Nabeel Al-Fayoumi, Chief Data Officer and Technology Advisor to Her Royal Highness President of the Royal Scientific Society, Vice President Dr. Ghaith Al Rabadi, and a number of deans, managers, and administrative staff of the University and the RSS, in addition to a number of students.

Prof. Al-Refai stated that PSUT is a university specializing in technology, always keeping pace with the latest systems used in the admission and registration process. This application makes it easier for students to monitor the processes for registration, and the withdrawal and addition of courses, as well as following the status of new students. Through the app, students also have access to financial transactions, their study plans and academic results. Prof. Al-Refai added that this application, which follows the Deanship’s launch of new security software that protects university documents from fraud, is designed to publicize urgent and important announcements from the Deanship of Admissions and Registration via Smartphone, thus eliminating the need to access a laptop or computer screen. The President promised further steps would be taken to introduce advanced technological services to benefit members of the academic and administrative bodies.

Prof. Al-Refai thanked the Deanship of Admissions and the Technical Affairs Sector of the Royal Scientific Society, as well as all those who contributed to the success of this application.

Dr. Nabeel Al-Fayoumi stressed that this is only one in a series of steps being made toward the digital transformation of the University. Future steps include changes to the systems that serve faculty members and administrators, the deanships, and strategic analysis.
