MoU signed between PSUT and Jubilee Center for Excellence in Education

Princess Sumaya University for Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jubilee Center for Excellence in Education, with the aim of working together to host the third regional conference on excellence in education, which is organized annually by the Center. The conference will be held under the title: "Talent and Creativity, Artificial Intelligence, and STEAM". The memorandum was signed by the President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, and the Director of the Center, Ismail Yassin.

Prof. Al-Refai expressed his pride in this cooperation, which helps in raising the profile of the University, as well as the academic and cognitive excellence it offers at the local and regional levels. He said that he took pleasure in the fact that PSUT would be the party authorized to verify the certificates to be presented to training program participants at the conference.

Yassin expressed his pleasure at this memorandum, which comes within a framework of cooperation between various educational institutions and exchange of expertise and experiences. It also encourages interested parties and researchers to provide the best in the field of teaching, with training sessions that will address many important and currently sought-after issues, including robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and STEAM-oriented education. (STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering. Arts and Mathematics)

The memorandum covers participation of the University’s teaching and administrative bodies in the conference through the presentation of lectures, research papers, workshops and specialized training courses, in addition to the participation of the PSUT’s robot member of staff, Pepper. The outstanding research works which meet the scientific research standards after arbitration will be published in "The Jordanian Journal of Computer and Information Technology".

The conference, which will run from August 3 – 8, will be held under the auspices of the Prime Minister and will be attended by a large group of researchers from Jordan and abroad. It is a quality conference with the focus on the training aspect, alongside lectures and panel discussions.
