King Talal School of Business Technology

Message from the Dean

Dear students and visitors,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the King Talal School of Business Technology (KTSBT). I would like to take this opportunity to assure you that the School is constantly striving to keep a close connection with our students so that they can benefit from our help in developing their abilities and take advantage of every opportunity to achieve success.

I whole-heartedly encourage you to take advantage of everything that the School offers. We are proud of the professional efforts of our academic and administrative staff in teaching, research, and community service. We are also proud of you, our distinguished students, for your determination in making continuous academic progress.

In response to a decree by HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, KTSBT was established in 2006 to offer non-traditional, specialized programs that focus on the requirements of modern technology in all fields. KTSBT’s programs are in line with international, academic, industrial and economic criteria, which make them comparable to those of the most reputable business schools in the world. Thus, KTSBT works hard to develop academic and administrative leaders who are prominent in business schools in Jordan and the region. The School seeks to achieve its mission by graduating highly qualified students in the field of business technology who are capable of competing, acquiring skills and meeting the requirements of the job market.

King Talal College for Business Technology provides academic programs at the bachelor’s level with the following majors: Business Information Technology, which is the first department, established in the college in 2006, Business Administration established in 2009, Accounting established in 2010, and E-marketing and social media established in 2012. The college also provides master’s programs in the field of entrepreneurship; this program is considered the first of its kind in Jordan and in the region and was founded in cooperation with the European Union through the Tempus program. In addition to the Master of Business Analysis program, which was established at the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year

KTSBT has forged a number of cooperation agreements with universities worldwide such as its shared program with the Heinrich Heine University, Dusseldorf offering a postgraduate study opportunities leading to a Master degree in European Studies. Similarly, KTSBT cooperates with Hasselt University, Belgium in offering Master’s programs in both Management Information Systems and International Marketing Strategies. In addition, it has a cooperation agreement with University of Michigan-Dearborn, Oakland University, and University of Arizona.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that KTSBT is the first Business School in Jordan to obtain the AACSB international accreditation membership, hence making Princess Sumaya University for Technology one of the 5% of the world's universities that are accredited by AACSB. This also makes PSUT one of the 2% of the world's universities outside the United States of America, which have obtained such an outstanding accreditation. Notably, PSUT has worked with dedication for six years to be eligible for this accreditation.

Welcome again to our School. We wish you every success, and wish our School continued progress and prosperity.

Dr. AbdelRaheem Abu Basal

Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology
