Acting on behalf of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of PSUT’s Board of Trustees, the President of the University, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, honored the outstanding students of the 25th graduating class at a gala dinner held annually on campus. The dinner is attended by the students and their parents, members of the faculty and administrative staff, and the directors of the Royal Scientific Society.

In his speech, Prof. Al-Refai said that the University has become a beacon for all those seeking leadership, thanks to the energetic input and generous guidance of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, and the dedicated efforts of the faculty and administrative staff, students and employees, as well as the help and support of colleagues in the RSS.  He thanked Her Highness, and everyone who contributed to achieving this excellence.

Al-Refai expressed his delight at a ceremony that celebrates the best of the best, asserting that since its establishment, the University has taken a clear path towards excellence and leadership. Speaking directly to the distinguished graduates, he said, “You have seen the University’s achievements, and you have experienced every detail of its successes. Indeed, you were the most important part of the achievement process, and you knew that, although it may be easy to attain success, the most difficult thing is to maintain it, expand and build upon it. This is what the University now expects from you.”

Al-Refai thanked the outstanding graduates, saying, “You reached the top in academic achievement, and were the valiant leaders in winning awards in competitions and events. You were the greatest ambassadors for your University, and you helped to raise its banner of excellence in all fields. For this, we offer you our sincere thanks and appreciation.”

Prof. Al-Refai called on the outstanding students, as they bid farewell to the University, to bear in mind that there is no finish line in the race for excellence and creativity, stressing that a life of leadership and excellence does not end with one accomplishment.

PSUT’s President concluded by saying: "You are in a constant race with yourselves, and with leaders around the world. May God grant you success and guide your paths, and may He keep Jordan strong and safe in the shadow of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein.”

The celebration was interspersed with entertainment, national dances and songs, and at the end of the evening, the President of the University, Prof. Al-Refai, presented certificates of appreciation and shields to outstanding graduates in the following fields: Those who received a ranking of ‘Excellent’; those who graduated at the top of their class in each discipline; those students who took top marks in the Kingdom  in the University Proficiency Exam; the students who represented the University in national and international forums; and the students who excelled in extracurricular activities.
