In an annual tradition, and as part of its extracurricular activities, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Sumaya University for Technology worked together with the National Blood Bank to organize a blood donation campaign at the University to help support the Bank's work to provide the needed amounts of blood for patients.

PSUT’s President, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, set the campaign underway when he made the first blood donation, followed by the two vice presidents, the Dean of Student Affairs, and many of the University’s professors, students and staff. Al-Refai said that PSUT runs this event to instill a spirit of cooperation among students, promote a sense of responsibility towards others and encourage students to take part in volunteer work and community service, and strengthen links between the University and the local community.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Rami Salem, stressed that the campaign comes within the framework of the Deanship's activities aimed at developing students' awareness, deepening their sense of national and community responsibility, and seeking constant communication with the local community through charity work.
