Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Ingot Coin have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide PSUT students with instructional programs and training on the topic of Blockchain and digital currencies.
The President of PSUT, Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, signed the agreement on behalf of the University, while Mr. Rashed Alkhzaie signed for Ingot Coin. Mr. Alkhzaie, a graduate of PSUT, is an expert in digital currencies and assets. Present at the signing were the two Vice Presidents, the Dean of the King Talal School of Business Technology, Dr. Abdelraheem Abualbasal, and Ms. Lina Saadeh from the Office for International Relations. Mr. Eyas Sartawi and Mr. Sahim Omar of Ingot Coin also attended the meeting.
Prof. Al-Refai expressed his pride in PSUT’s students, pledging the University’s ongoing support for them. He also said he was proud of the University’s distinguished graduates, who reflect both the fertile educational environment provided by the University and the high level of competency of its faculty members. The dedicated support received from HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University's Board of Trustees, undoubtedly plays a role in the graduation of outstanding students who are ready and able to enter the labor market on a strong footing.
Mr. Rashed Alkhzaie said that the company was willing to support training and work opportunities for PSUT graduates in the field of electronic payments and financial technology. He also thanked the University administration for the continuous support shown to its students and its determination to do whatever is needed to promote the advancement of its students and improve their standing.
Mr. Rashed Alkhzaie graduated from PSUT with a BSc in Business Information Technology, and joined Ingot Coin’s advisory staff to develop the first Blockchain-based financial and banking market in Jordan and the region. This came as a response to developments and the ongoing technological revolution regarding online payments, forming a link between traditional and modern financial markets. One of the elements of the project is to educate and train government institutions, companies and students.
