E-Learning Experience

I had initiated the use of e-learning in PSUT since 2003 by developing the PSUT e-learning platform. I conducted lectures for PSUT staff on the use of e-learning and to introduce the MOODEL technology. I had developed and posted more than 40 different courses on the platform. More than 50% of the PSUT professors are using now this platform at different levels.

Currently, I am using the e-learning for almost all my courses. I have developed within the IVLE Tempus project a complete online course on e-commerce for a master degree on computer science. For more information, visit the site: itcollege.psut.edu.jo.

In addition, I had been selected as the main lecturer for the e-learning Network Engineering course organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Menhaj Educational Technologies and three universities in both Jordan and Palestine: Princess Sumaya University for Technology, University of Jordan and Birzeit University in Palestine ( December 2005)

3.      Funds received by PSUT: about 20,000 Euro

3.      PSUT-GEM MIRA Project:

I am the PSUT coordinator and contact person for the MIRA project.

MIRA is a project of the Region of Grenoble in France for supporting the collaboration between PSUT and the Grenoble School of Management (GEM).

The project aims at facilitating the exchange of professor, programs between the two institutions and organizing meetings and workshops for the students of the MIS and CS departments in PSUT.

Advantages for PSUT:

1.      PSUT professors scientific visits to GEM: (6 professors were involved)

2.      Professors from GEM had organized seminars for the students of PSUT and workshops for executives and participant from the public and private sector in Jordan:
