King Talal School of Business Technology

Vision, Mission and Goals

King Talal School of Business Technology (KTSBT) was established in 2006 to offer specialized programs designed using a non-traditional methodology that focuses on the requirements of modern technology in all fields. KTSBT operates in line with international, academic, industrial and economic criteria, placing our Business School on a par with reputable business schools around the region. KTSBT is ready to develop faculty members and administrative leaders who are able to achieve prosperity in Jordan and the Arab region.

KTSBT offers academic programs at the Bachelor’s level, with majors offered in:

Management Information Systems (MIS) (the first department created in the School, 2006)

Business Information Technology (BIT) (a new program from 2015/2016)

Business Administration (BA) (since 2009)

Accounting (since 2010)

E-Marketing and Social Media (EMSM) (since 2012)  

KTSBT also offers a Masters' degree in Business Entrepreneurship (MBE). This is the first such program to be established in Jordan and the region, and is run in cooperation with the European Union through the Tempus Program.

Our Business School is characterized by the signing of several specialized cooperation agreements with international universities such as the University of Lancaster, UK, and Hasselt University in Belgium. The School was accredited locally by the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC) in 2008, after which it aspired to attain membership to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in February 2014.

KTSBT considers comprehensive quality assurance to be one of the most modern management concepts as an entrance to the development of academic work. In addition, comprehensive quality assurance is considered an integrated system that brings satisfaction to stakeholders in the School, University, and local community; it leads to full and proper use of the human, physical and moral resources available, incorporates technology, develops the School, and aids in the understanding of the international, regional and local environment.

Mission:

KTSBT seeks to pursue excellence in teaching, scientific research, and community service in  order to graduate qualified and well-prepared professionals in the field of Business Technology, who are ready to compete, acquire skills, and satisfy job market needs.

 

Objectives:

KTSBT's commitment to excellence is reflected in the following objectives:

  1. Attracting outstanding students and providing them with a high-quality education to graduate qualified professionals who adhere to business ethics, possess technological intelligence and are able to compete in the labor market.
  2. Recruiting, developing, and retaining talented staff and students in addition to supporting their productivity and ongoing development.
  3. Ensuring the constant development of the education process, quality assurance, and quality of academic programs in accordance with the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) quality standards.
  4. Encouraging the promotion, support, and improvement of the scientific research policy in the School, to foster innovation, creativity and conduct applied research.
  5. Contributing to the development and strengthening the relationship with the local community, thus achieving integration between the educational and local environments.
  6. Seeking operational excellence by developing self-assessment procedures and quality assurance, and applying quality standards effectively on the academic and administrative levels.
