PSUT signs Memorandum of Understanding with Atatürk University, Turkey
Acting on behalf of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, President Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rector of Atatürk University, Prof. Ömer Çomaklı. The MoU entails cooperation between the two parties in the academic and research arenas, and was signed in the presence of PSUT’s Vice President, Prof. Arafat Awajan, some of the deans of the Schools, the University’s Director of Public Relations, and the visiting Turkish delegation.
The Memorandum of Understanding sets a framework by which the two universities will conduct shared research and academic activities, implement exchange programs for both faculty members and students, participate in academic conferences and seminars, and introduce joint academic programs.
The President of the University, Prof. Al-Refai, expressed his pleasure at this agreement, which opens up horizons of cooperation in a number of disciplines with Atatürk University, making it possible for the students and faculty members of Princess Sumaya University for Technology to become acquainted with a new range of academic expertise and skills. Prof. Al-Refai made a detailed presentation about PSUT, covering its academic programs and its international activities, particularly focusing on the joint programs with a number of international universities. He reviewed the University's progress and its outstanding efforts in moving the Kingdom’s ICT sector forward by providing highly-qualified graduates, equipped with the academic and technical skills needed to work anywhere in the world.
Prof. Çomaklı expressed his pride in this agreement and praised the exceptional educational environment at PSUT and the solid reputation it has achieved abroad, which worked to prompt the desire for strengthened ties and the introduction of means of cooperation between the two sides.
