Message from the Dean
Dear Visitors/ Students,
It is my pleasure to welcome you upon visiting the website of King Talal School of Business Technology (KTSBT). I would like to inform you that the School always does its best to be close to you so that we can offer all our help to develop your abilities and provide you with success opportunities.
I kindly request that you to take advantage of everything that the School offers. We are proud of the academic and administrative staff for their efforts in teaching, research, and community service on high and professional levels. We are also proud of you, our distinguished students, for being keen on making continuous academic progress.
Upon her Highness’ decree Princess Sumayya Bint Al-Hassan, the chairman of the board of trustees, KTSBT was established in 2006 to offer non-traditional specialized programs that focus on the requirements of modern technology in all fields. KTSBT has been in line with international, academic, industrial and economic criteria, which make it comparable to those of the most reputable business schools in the world. Thus, KTSBT works hard to develop academic and administrative leaders who are prominent in business schools in Jordan and the region. The School seeks to achieve its mission by graduating students qualified in business and technology and capable to compete, acquire skills and meet the requirements of the job market.
KTSBT offers BA programs in: Management Information Systems (MIS), the first department created in the college since 2006, Business Administration (BA) since 2009, Accounting since 2010, and E-Marking and Social Media (EMSM) since 2012. KTSBT also offers a Master Degree in Business Entrepreneurship (MBE) which is considered the first program established in Jordan and the region in cooperation with the European Union through the Tempus program.
KTSBT is also well known for having cooperation agreements with universities worldwide in terms of its specialties, such as its share with the British Lancaster University in offering a Master degree in Business International Administration program since 2009. Similarly, KTSBT cooperates with the Belgian Hasselt University in offering Master programs in both Management Information Systems and International Marketing Strategies. In addition, it has a cooperation agreement with Michigan State University as well as dozens of other universities.
KTSBT has become the first business school in Jordan which meets the International Accreditation Requirements for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It obtained the initial approval for the international accreditation after getting the acceptance letter for the self-assessment report in December, 2015. The School works hard to carry out the accreditation requirements in the next few years.
Welcome again to our School. We wish you success and wish our School more progress and prosperity.
Prof. Shafig Haddad
Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology
