E-Marketing and Social Media

Electronic Marketing and Social Media Bachelor of Science Degree Program was established in 2012. The Electronic Marketing and Social Media Bachelor of Science Degree Program is designed to give students practical, real-world education that equips them for efficient navigation through the rapidly progressing world of integrated marketing and technology. It familiarizes students with the core components of successful marketing plans and new electronic channels that are now available.

E-Marketing students are, at first, introduced to basic courses in marketing such as principles of marketing, consumer behavior, advertising and promotion management, and other business related courses as well, which are essential for later stages of the program.. They also learn about web design and technology and their impact on E-Marketing. Through the study of concepts such as web design, web interface and usability, scripting languages, etc., students learn the language necessary to communicate in an ever-changing business environment.

Once a solid marketing foundation has been established, students move on to applying their knowledge to the realm of E- marketing, such as search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, and social media. They also learn about important marketing plan components such as web metrics, IT and systems overviews, and global and cultural internet issues.

Finally, students integrate the knowledge and experience they have acquired to develop their own unique and cohesive e-marketing strategy. By building upon the foundations of marketing with current tools and rapidly developing technologies, this program familiarizes students with today's fast-moving Electronic Marketing and Social Media industry and prepares them for its continued growth and modernization.
